Fasting is Approaching, and Many Don’t Have What to Eat

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

 I am reaching out with a heartfelt appeal as we approach the blessed month of Ramadan—a time for fasting, prayer, and giving.

I live in Mubi North, Adamawa State, in northeastern Nigeria, where many families, including my own, are struggling to meet even their most basic needs. I am the eldest son in a family of 11, with three young children, a loving wife, and aging parents who depend on me. Additionally, I care for my eight younger siblings as the sole breadwinner.

Due to severe financial hardships and rising living costs, it has become incredibly difficult to provide for our daily needs, let alone prepare for Ramadan. Basic necessities like food, shelter, and healthcare are out of reach for us and many others in our community.

Additionally, I have accumulated a significant amount of debt while trying to provide for my family’s needs. This debt has become a heavy burden, and settling it is essential for us to regain stability and move forward with dignity.

This is why I am turning to you for help. Our fundraising goal is £4,000, which will go directly towards:

• Providing meals for my family and others in need during Ramadan.
• Settling debts to relieve the financial pressure on our family.
• Supporting basic needs like healthcare, education, and shelter for my family and other vulnerable households in our community.

No amount is too small, and every penny donated will make a significant difference, Insha’Allah. Your generosity will help ensure that families like mine can fast with dignity, knowing that they have food on their table, relief from financial burdens, and hope for a brighter future.
