300 days of conflict: A message from our CEO

300 days of conflict: A message from our CEO

As salamu alaikum wa rahmat Allahu wa barakatu,

Today marks 300 days since the conflict in Gaza began, resulting in a severe humanitarian crisis. According to the United Nations, over 39,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, including thousands of children and women. The ongoing destruction has left nearly one thousand people injured and created dire shortages of essential resources such as food, water, and medical supplies.

Muslim Aid has consistently called for an immediate ceasefire and the protection of civilians, especially children, who represent the future of Palestine. Throughout this conflict, our organisation has been actively involved on the ground, delivering critical aid, including thousands of meals daily in northern Gaza, where access to basic supplies has been completely cut off.

During my visit to Egypt, I oversaw our operations and witnessed the tireless efforts of our staff and partners. Their resilience, faith in Allah swt, and dedication to serve humanity is truly inspiring.

The Qur’an teaches us, "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided" (Qur'an 3:103). In this spirit of unity, Muslim Aid continues to be a source of relief and support for the people of Palestine during these challenging times, with the permission of Allah SWT and the support of our donors.

Brothers & Sisters it is crucial to recognise the ongoing need for humanitarian assistance and the importance of unity and justice. Muslim Aid remains steadfast in our mission to deliver aid and advocate for peace and justice for the Palestinian people. We urgently call for the opening of all humanitarian corridors to ensure that aid can reach those in need immediately.

While the situation remains dire, we must continue to support and build a brighter future for Gaza. By standing together and upholding our shared values of compassion and justice, we can help to alleviate the suffering and bring hope to those in need. Our commitment to Gaza is unwavering, and with Allah's guidance and the support of our community, Insha'Allah will strive to rebuild Gaza.

Ameen.
