Launch of the Muslim Aid Ambassadors programme

On Saturday 7th December, Muslim Aid held an intimate dinner at Madhu’s The Grove with a few wonderful chosen individuals who had taken time to join us in the launch of our long-awaited Ambassadors programme.

We live in a time of ever-increasing emergencies, many of which are rooted in the issue of #ClimateChange whether that be floods, drought, heat waves or climate driven conflicts and migration. Muslim Aid has been responding to these crises for over 39 years and we have been a witness to the increasing pressures these bring. We plan to continue responding but we want to work hand in hand with our communities to do more in the long term.

It is easy to feel disempowered in the face of such challenges. However, we see that our communities, our supporters, continue to give beyond measure and that they also want to do more. They want to take an active role in changing the world for the better with their voices and their hands. This is the spirit of the #Ambassadors programme - to work together to raise the voices of our rights holders across the world, to share their stories, to educate, raise awareness, and drive #change together.

It was an inspirational event, and we hope to continue the commitment to #ChampionChange and build a sustainable future together with all the amazing attendees.
We hope that more of the community will join us in championing this change - in advocating and collaborating, to driving forward together to empower and enable our global communities so they can live dignified lives, aspire and dream.

A big thank you to all our partners and attendees.
