Introduction:

Qurbani, meaning sacrifice in Arabic, is a reminder to us of valuable life lessons like equality through giving, sacrifice, respect for religious obligations, and the natural ecosystem. It’s an opportunity to give back to society and those in need by giving them the luxury of slaughtering their own meat.

We use this as a chance to thank the almighty Allah (SWT) for all of our blessings by sharing them with our loved ones and fellow brothers and sisters across the world. It is a time of gratitude and reflection on the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his family when he was tested to the core when commanded by Allah to sacrifice his son and relieved of having to do so when he showed pure surrender to his decree.

After Qurbani, we celebrate Eid al-Adha with great joy and gratitude for all our blessings, along with cultural fashion that is so impeccable that Eid is what many refer to as the ‘Muslim Met Gala’.
