After 100 Days of War Leading Humanitarian Charity on the Ground in Gaza Urges for Ceasefire as Millions Need Vital Aid

Leading UK humanitarian aid charity, Muslim Aid has been working in Gaza since war erupted in the region 100 days ago. The charity has been on the ground in Gaza providing vital food parcels, medicine, hygiene kits and other essential aid for the millions of citizens who have been impacted by the conflict in Gaza.

The charity has also continued regular aid operations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The humanitarian toll within has been devastating, with at least 22,000 Palestinians killed and nearly 58,000 injured and millions have been forced to flee their homes.

The charity is urging for a ceasefire as trucks full of aid and ambulances, line up at the Rafah border as humanitarian corridors remain closed.

Khalid Javid, CEO of Muslim Aid commented, “The aid that is piling up on the border from Muslim Aid and many other charities and this is vital for millions of citizens in the region. Men, Women and Children need medical attention, food and clean water now. We are now 100 days into this conflict and the number of civilians needing aid is rising every day.”

The charity highlights that the protection of children in Gaza should be at the forefront of the ceasefire and it urges international leaders and the UN to ensure that aid is allowed into the region urgently to help safeguard the future of these children.

Khalid Javid, CEO of Muslim Aid added, " Today we must, more than ever, stand as one in our collective commitment to peace, justice, and human rights. People of all races, ages, genders and faiths must come together to serve humanity by serving Palestine in the most crucial way possible. The people of Gaza need our support now more than ever.”
