Eid-Ul-Adha Message from Chairman of Muslim Aid

The Prophet (SAW) was asked, what is Qurbani? The Prophet (SAW) answered: “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (AS). For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (SWT).”- Hadith- Tirmidhi

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers of Muslim Aid, I would like to convey our heartfelt Eid Greetings to you. May Allah (SWT) shower His choicest blessings upon you, your family and friends.

For many of us fresh quality meat on Eid is the norm, but for the world’s poorest communities this is considered a very rare luxury. Reaching 40 countries worldwide, our teams on the ground will ensure that your donation goes far by distributing locally sourced quality meat to our beneficiaries. Through our Qurbani programme we will ensure that those who are affected by conflicts, such as in Iraq, Syria, Myanmar and Gaza are enabled to participate and enjoy the happy occasion of Eid. Let us also remember those who are suffering from the devastating floods in Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Muslim Aid is actively working to provide emergency relief (shelter, clean water, food and medicines) to those affected. We are also planning to can-package substantial quantities of Qurbani meat, in order that these may be consumed over a longer period by those affected by the natural disasters and conflicts.

It also gives me immense pleasure to inform you that Muslim Aid will be providing Qurbani meat to the poor and needy in the UK.

We thank you for your continued support to Muslim Aid to serve humanity. May Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifice and reward us abundantly.

Wassalam and Eid Mubarak!
