The kind words shared in a letter to our Chief Executive Khalid Javid respond to our decades of humanitarian service and the dedication of our teams supporting communities around the world.
At a time when multiculturalism has been sorely undervalued, gestures from those in positions of power that recognise the positive and historic role of faith communities in Britain’s social fabric are welcome.
We extend our sincere thanks to His Majesty for his message and for acknowledging this milestone as we continue our mission to serve those most in need.
We hope a time comes when charity is no longer required to respond to all the suffering in the UK and around the world, but until that time comes, we will not stop serving in keeping with our values of dignity and justice.
