Muslim Aid congratulates Dr Sara Pantuliano who has been appointed as Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (CMG) by King Charles in the New Year 2024 Honours List.
The honour, which is in recognition of services to peacebuilding, humanitarian assistance and international development, acknowledges Sara’s dedication as a humanitarian practitioner, mediator, policy thinker and academic, her wide-ranging advisory work and her leadership at ODI, within the UN and across the sector.
Chair of the board of trustees at Muslim Aid, Mustafa Faruqi said: “Sara has been a trustee of Muslim Aid since February 2018 and also held the roles of Vice Chair of the board and Chair of our programmes committee until 2021. As CEO of the ODI and with decades of humanitarian and academic experience, she brings invaluable insights and perspectives to the board. This honour is no less than she deserves as a distinguished peacebuilder and reformist in the international development sphere.
