Muslim Aid has partnered with the England Amputee Football Association (EAFA)

We are thrilled to announce that Muslim Aid has partnered with the England Amputee Football Association (EAFA) in preparation for the inaugural 2024 Women’s Amputee Football World Cup!

The England Amputee Football Association is a volunteer-led organization that provides inclusive football opportunities for amputees and individuals affected by limb-impacting disabilities through competitive, recreational, and community-based football programs.

This partnership strengthens our commitment to social and economic inclusion within both our UK and global programming. We continue to advocate for and empower our communities by fostering spaces where people of all abilities can build confidence, improve physical fitness, and unlock their full potential across all areas of life.

We aim to inspire our communities with what is possible, and this partnership marks just the beginning. The Women’s Amputee National Team’s participation in this year’s World Cup exemplifies the power of sport in driving social change and celebrates the resilience of amputee women who are ready to showcase their talents while inspiring us all.

Look out for further updates on our broader initiatives with EAFA as we pursue holistic domestic programs that go beyond sports, spanning social engagement, skills development, and community outreach to benefit people of all abilities. InshaAllah we look forward to partnering with organisations within our Muslim community in 2025 to push to motivate , inspire and help open doors to new opportunities as part of this programme.

The World Cup games will take place from 4th–10th November 2024 in Barranquilla, Colombia, marking the first time an England women’s amputee team will compete at this level. Follow their historic journey online: @theeafa

The countdown has begun, and we wish the England Women’s Amputee Football Team every success at the World Cup. We look forward to celebrating their achievements and a partnership that promises lasting impact.
