Muslim Aid Sponsors Groundbreaking #FootballForAll Festival for Persons with Disabilities

Muslim Aid is proud to announce its sponsorship of the first-ever #FootballForAll Festival, organised by Para Football and the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF). This landmark event celebrates inclusivity and empowers persons with disabilities through the unifying power of sport.

Taking place from December 10, the festival is a pioneering initiative aimed at creating inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities to engage with football, both as players and enthusiasts. By offering a platform where individuals with disabilities can showcase their talents, learn new skills, and connect with others who share their passion for the sport, the event seeks to redefine traditional perceptions of participation in football.

By fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, the event highlights the importance of accessibility and demonstrates how football can be a universal language that brings communities together.

Khalid Javid, CEO of Muslim Aid, had the honour of attending the opening ceremony, representing Muslim Aid’s steadfast commitment to fostering inclusion globally. He commented, “Muslim Aid is honoured to support this groundbreaking initiative. The #FootballForAll Festival is a testament to the power of sport in creating a more inclusive and equitable world. Events like this inspire us all to champion equality and opportunity for every individual, regardless of ability.”

This sponsorship is part of Muslim Aid’s larger strategic drive on inclusivity, and the charity is looking to build meaningful connections not just through its Middle East programme, but across all the communities that it serves globally.

The festival also represents a significant collaboration between Muslim Aid, Para Football, and WAFF, demonstrating the shared commitment of these organisations to inclusivity.

Khalid Javid added, “A heartfelt thank you to Sam Turner, Para Football, and the West Asian Football Federation team for bringing this incredible event to life. Together, we are paving the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.”
