Muslim Aid welcomes UN resolution calling for ceasefire

Muslim Aid welcomes UN resolution calling for ceasefire

Muslim Aid welcomes the news that the UN Security Council has passed a resolution calling for a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and calls on all relevant parties to implement this proposed pause in fighting.

If implemented, the temporary ceasefire move will halt bloodshed for the rest of the Muslim holy month amidst this crisis.

In addition to being relentlessly bombed and attacked, Palestinians in Gaza are starving to death with the lack of aid entering the enclave.

Muslim Aid is committed to calling for an urgent necessity for a permanent ceasefire and the opening of Rafah Crossing to allow lifesaving aid into the besieged enclave.

Muslim Aid reaffirms its commitment to Serving Humanity and urges all parties to engage in constructive dialogue, prioritise civilians, and work towards a comprehensive ceasefire.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
