On Tuesday evening, Israeli forces broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque and forcefully removed hundreds of Palestinian worshippers who were carrying out Tahajjud prayers in the holy sanctuary.

Al-Qibli prayer hall was amongst the attacked areas in the holy compound where Palestinian worshippers were beaten with excessive force.
Israeli police shot tear gas into the building after breaking windows of the compound causing serious suffocation cases.

Medics were blocked from entering the scene and a nearby hospital was raided. Officials have not been able to confirm the exact number of those injured.

The attacks carried onto the dawn of Wednesday.

Meanwhile, settler attacks took place in the West Bank cities of Hebron, Jenin and Nablus.
Palestinians officials say that least 400 Palestinians were arrested throughout Wednesday morning and official and continue to be in Israeli custody.
