Prior to UK General Elections, Muslim Aid releases campaign asks

Ahead of the upcoming General Election on the 4th of July, we are pleased to share with you the publication of our five key policy priorities, look at the pressing issues facing the communities which we serve and within the larger development sector. Here, we outline the change that we would like to see to create greater impact and improve effectiveness in aid. Our Policy Ask document briefly summarises our approach to building a more just and sustainable world.

We intend to share our Asks with all parties, key decision-makers and with various departments across the government. We hope you, our supporters, will join us and increase our impact by also using these Asks to advocate to your local candidates and gain their commitment to making the changes we need to create the world we all wish to see.

We are urging all parties to commit to:

  1. Countering the Cost-of-Living Crisis
  2. Combatting Climate Change
  3. Supporting Refugees
  4. Strengthening the UK international development framework
  5. Expanded funding and solutions for increased global humanitarian crises
