In response to the unveiling of a controversial private aid plan earmarked for Gaza, a Muslim Aid spokesperson said:

"The so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation plan unveiled this month is not a genuine humanitarian effort that would be coordinated by a recognised humanitarian body. After repeated blockades, incessant bombing of hospitals and multiple references to depopulation objectives shared by Israeli officials, UN Humanitarian Chief Tom Fletcher was right this week to describe the initiative as “a cynical sideshow”.
