Jehangir Malik
Chief Executive
Jehangir Malik OBE has been the CEO of Muslim Aid since September 2016. He is also a board member of the Runnymede Trust. He was a founding trustee of the Muslim Charities Forum and a former UK director of Islamic Relief UK. Jehangir is a regular contributor to international news organisations including the BBC and Al Jazeera. A public speaker, he also writes commentary on global development issues. Jehangir is also fluent in Urdu.
Lotifa Begum
Global Advocacy Manager
Lotifa Begum heads advocacy at Muslim Aid, leading policy work on gender justice and gender-based violence in forums such as the UN. Lotifa was formerly the global advocacy coordinator at Islamic Relief UK and a co-chair of the International Development Faith Working group. Lotifa has written in national publications and appeared on news channels including the BBC. She regularly hosts panel discussions and has been Muslim Aid’s leading spokesperson on the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy.
