Tonight, we turn our hearts to two of the world’s most devastating humanitarian crises, Sudan and Yemen, where mothers are struggling to nourish their babies and children are fighting to survive severe malnutrition.
In Sudan, conflict and displacement have shattered families’ access to food, clean water, and healthcare. In Yemen, years of war and economic collapse have pushed millions to the brink of famine. Babies are arriving at clinics dangerously underweight. Mothers are too malnourished to feed their newborns. Hospitals are overwhelmed.

In Sudan, 21.2 million people face acute hunger, with 12+ million displaced and 3.2 million children at risk of severe malnutrition. With 70% of health facilities non-functional and famine confirmed in parts of the country, children are already facing famine-level hunger. Without urgent aid, lives will be lost.
In Yemen, 17+ million people are hungry, including 2.2 million acutely malnourished children and 1.4 million malnourished pregnant and breastfeeding women. A child dies every 10 minutes from preventable causes. In some areas, up to 33% of children under five suffer severe acute malnutrition — increasing their risk of death from common illnesses by up to 12 times.
