Our Recruitment Process
Our recruitment and selection process consists of the following stages:
Right to Work
All roles based in the UK require you to have the right to work in the UK. That means that you must be a UK national, a member of the European Economic Area or a foreign national that holds a current valid UK visa that allows you to live and work in the UK. We will automatically withdraw your application if you do not have the right to work in the UK.
For non-UK based roles you will need to either be a national of that country or have a valid visa to live and work in that country. We do not sponsor visas.
How to Apply
Below you will find our UK and overseas vacancies. These are for permanent, fixed term and casual positions. Visit our Volunteers page if you are interested in volunteering with us.
On each advert page you will find a job specification, application guidance and an application form. You should complete the application form by the closing date and email it to the email address stated on the form.
Where we receive a high number of applications we reserve the right to close this campaign once we have a suitable pool of applicants, which could be prior to the published application closing date.
We do not accept handwritten, photographed, scanned or pdf versions of application forms or CV applications. Applicants will be asked to resubmit their application form in Microsoft Word format. We also do not accept speculative applications.
Communication from Muslim Aid
We have had feedback from candidates that emails from Muslim Aid are sometimes directed to spam/junk folders or have not been received. You should check your spam/junk folder in the first instance to ensure that you have not missed any correspondence from us. If you still have not received anything from us within four weeks please contact us on 020 7377 4200.
Rehabilitation of Offenders
We actively promote equality of opportunity for all. We welcome applications from a wide range of candidates including those with criminal records. We select all candidates for interview based on their skills, qualifications and experience.
Under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 if you are applying for a UK based role you do not need to disclose ‘spent’ cautions or convictions unless you are applying for a position that is exempt from the Act. The job advert/job specification will state if the role is exempted from the Act. Please refer to the Guidance on the Rehabilitation Act 1974 for more information.
Please email email@example.com if you have an enquiry about a role or about our process.
