ACCESS TO CORPORATE TRAINING (ACT)

Muslim Aid’s ACT Program will focus on providing a variety of workshops and training schemes for young individuals seeking to find a job to help improve their skills and prospects for employment. The project aims to reduce isolation and interdependence by holding community training workshops on employment and communication skills, developing career paths, preparing CV and job applications as well as tips on job searching.

Workshops are open to:

  • NEET individuals (not in education, employment or training) or those at risk of becoming so. This includes individuals who are out of work and recent school leavers.
  • University students and soon to be graduates
  • Particularly for those who are between 16 – 20 years old and from Black and Ethnic Minority backgrounds.

Workshops will be held by corporate partners and where possible will tie into job opportunities (internships/apprenticeships). These include partners such as Barclays, BT Muslim Network and Ernst and Young.

Attendees are then registered as part of Muslim Aid’s volunteer program and are offered opportunities to develop these skills further. As a volunteer they can receive a certificate of participation for their hard work and a formal reference if they have volunteered with us for a period of 3 months and above.

Do not miss out on this great opportunity to improve your employment prospects and gain advice from top companies and institutions worldwide. Check out the upcoming sessions below and sign up now!
