Curriculum for Cohesion: Muslim Aid funded project for Muslim students

Muslim Aid funded a project for developing a curriculum which can be used by primary schools in the Muslim majority areas of the UK while teaching Islam in the Religious Education (RE) class. The curriculum has been designed by the Cambridge Muslim College and is entitled “Curriculum for Cohesion”

Curriculum for Cohesion is an educational initiative which is designing and implementing History and Religious Education curriculum at a national British governmental level. Curriculum for Cohesion will benefit all pupils through the inclusion, where appropriate, of the Muslim contribution to the History of all humanity and Britain. It will also highlight the importance of a History-for-Citizenship to help pupils include themselves in important national debates. Curriculum for Cohesion will undertake development of effective, relevant spiritual literacy though our approach to Religious Education which is to be implemented in Muslim-dense areas.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
