Walk/run for Turkey/Syria

Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6011, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2586

This terrible tragedy is not only an almighty test for those who have lost loved ones and those who are trying to survive, but a test for us as an Ummah.

SO WHAT CAN WE DO?

1. DUAS

The most important thing is that we make dua for those who have passed away and those trying to survive.  Only Allah in His Wisdom has the power to change the situation and hearts of us all

2. WALK & RUN WITH US

We are working as collective team of friends and family across the UK and Qatar to do a sponsored walk/run

£95 for medical supplies to hospital

£150 provides cash grants to the most vulnerable

£200 provides a winter survival pack including blankets, heaters and thermal clothing 

£420 provides 1800 hot meals for the victims

4. ZAKAT DONATIONS

You can donate your Zakat to this cause.  For those who wish to adhere to Zakat donations being distributed directly as cash only please add a comment under the NOTES section of your donation (after adding your address) stipulating you want it distributed as cash only and it will be ring-fenced accordingly.

As you can imagine to operate relief work on this scale requires staff, resources and running costs.  All of this has to be covered by an admin fee.
