Generations later, on the plains of Karbala, Imam Husayn (RA), the family of the Prophet ﷺ and their companions were denied access to the waters of the Euphrates for three days. Men, women and children endured severe thirst yet remained steadfast in the face of hardship and injustice. 

As we remember the mercy shown to Prophet Musa (AS) and reflect on the sacrifice and perseverance of Imam Husayn (RA), we are reminded never to take this blessing for granted. 

The Prophet ﷺ said: 

"The best charity is giving water." (Ahmad)
