Listen back to BBC interview on Myanmar quake rapid response

As we step up our fundraising campaign to support the survivors, listen back to this week's BBC interview (begins at 18m06s) with our partners on the ground, describing the rapid humanitarian efforts being undertaken ahead of the coming monsoon season.

Over 3,000 fatalities have been confirmed in the first week following the disaster in Myanmar.

Food assistance has been identified by the United Nations as a key need.

Emergency Response

We are launching an urgent emergency response with a priority focus on food, while also delivering life-saving shelter for those hit hardest by the earthquake.

With your help, we will provide:
• Emergency food parcels to families facing starvation
• High-nutrient meals for vulnerable children and pregnant women
• Temporary shelter for families who’ve lost their homes
• Essential medicines and mobile health kits to treat injuries and prevent disease outbreaks

Help us deliver life-saving aid and food before it's too late.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
