Even before the earthquake, 15.2 million people in Myanmar were facing severe food insecurity. Now, with supply routes destroyed, markets inaccessible, and families displaced, the country is on the brink of a full-scale hunger emergency.

Displaced families have lost everything — homes, loved ones, and access to food. Many are surviving on a single meal a day — or less. 

The monsoon season looms, threatening to cut off communities even further.

Our Response: Food First—But Not Food Alone

We are launching an urgent emergency response with a priority focus on food, while also delivering life-saving shelter for those hit hardest by the earthquake.

• Emergency food parcels to families facing starvation
• High-nutrient meals for vulnerable children and pregnant women
• Temporary shelter for families who’ve lost their homes
• Essential medicines and mobile health kits to treat injuries and prevent disease outbreaks
