What Is the Food Drive Challenge?
It may be hard to believe but life has never been harder for some families in the UK. Over 2 million people are malnourished and missing meals to feed their children. Rising living costs, unemployment and financial uncertainty are pushing many ordinary people to the poverty line.
Did You Know?
In the UK, we waste 7 million tonnes of food each year? That’s bigger than the great pyramid of Giza.
Let’s Move That Mountain?
We are gathering a mountain of dry food items and distributing them to food banks and soup kitchens to feed people who are desperate and hungry. For some, the food they receive, will be their only meal of the day.
On Friday 16th December between 12pm – 2pm Muslim Aid will be present outside the East London Mosque covering all exits. Bring as many items from the list on the flyer above and let’s support those most in need!
Don’t worry if you can’t make it on the 16th – we’ll be collecting your food items on Thursday 15th December at the Muslim Aid HQ between 4-8pm
If you can not donate food items please donate here so it can go towards purchasing food items which will benefit families across the UK.
