New Look for Schools in Sri Lanka

Rainbow Family Community Fund

Many schools in Sri Lanka have struggled to maintain services for children. Dilapidated classrooms and lack of adequate water and sanitation facilities have hindered children's attendance and performance at school. Through the Rainbow Family General Fund, a number of schools in the poorest regions of Mannar, Batticaloa and Trincomalee have been refurbished and modernised.

By carrying out repairs to buildings, constructing latrince facilities, equipping schools and a disabled centre with clean water supplies and building 4 new libraries equipped with books, Muslim Aid has increased school standards and improved the lives of over 3,000 children and 200 teachers.
