Trip to Slovenia

Rainbow Family Community Fund

In early September beneficiaries from Bosnia enjoyed a one week stay in Slovenia. The trip was organised by Muslim Aid Bosnia in partnership with Humanitarian Charity Society UP. The visit was part of the project titled “100 Hearts” which is committed to supporting victims of economic and social deprivation. Many families were forced to leave their homes when war broke out in Bosnia in 1992. When they returned home after the war, they found themselves without a home, employment and any learning opportunities.

These children are some of the most vulnerable children in Bosnia who have faced many hardships. This was the first time that any of them had gone away.  They stayed at the Debeli Rtic holiday facility and enjoyed a variety of interactive workshops, excursions and social activities. The project was a big success and gave the children something enjoyable to remember and share with the rest of their school friends.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
