Microfinance in Bangladesh

Microfinance

Farida Parveen is a successful entrepreneur from Sheota village in the Manikgonj District.

Struggling to earn an income, Farida and her husband had been living under difficult circumstances. After taking out a Microfinance loan with Muslim Aid Bangladesh, Farida began a small poultry farm. This gradually expanded, and today Farida has around 800 birds.

Every day Farida gets 600 to 700 eggs, which fetches her an income of 4,000 taka (£30).
