Living in temporary shelter as refugees after the war in 2009, Freedaz and her husband were struggling to provide for their two children. Freedaz's husband earned a pittance as a labourer and could not provide his family with the security of a comfortable home.
Through Muslim Aid's Housing Programme, Freedaz received the finances to construct a two-bedroom house, sufficient for the needs of her family.
"I am grateful with my family life," she said. "When we were facing a difficult situation in our lives, Muslim Aid provided for us. Now my children are very happy with the new house. They have enough space to live and play and I can proudly say we have a permanent, safer home."
