As the summer holidays draw to a close, in the UK millions of children and their parents are preparing for the new academic year. However, for many children across the world, attending school is an experience they may never have.
Whether it is due to extreme poverty, war or the effects of devastating natural disasters, too many children are prevented from returning to school.
Unfortunately, over 200 million children globally still do not have access to education. For many, it’s as simple as not having the basic school supplies that they need.
