1. Challenge Brief & Rules

This delicious challenge invites you to try new recipes or themed cooking nights to raise funds. Choose one day, or a full week, to create dishes you’ve never tried before. You can cook savoury meals, bake treats, or follow cultural/seasonal themes. The rules are simple: choose your recipes, prepare them safely, and share your creations with supporters. No pre-made meals everything must be homemade! Pick any day(s) you like and commit to completing your selected dishes.

2. Printable “I’m Cooking for a Cause” Poster

Your poster explains that you're cooking or baking today to raise funds. Display it in your kitchen, stall, classroom, or workplace. It reads: “Meals that Matter – Cooking for a Cause”

3. Fundraising Tips

Create a Launch Good page and ask people to sponsor each dish you cook. Set goals like “£5 per recipe” or “£50 for completing today’s menu”. You can also sell portions of your food or bake extras for neighbours. Include sample donation messages and recipe previews.

4. Social Media Guide

Post before/after photos of your dishes, share recipe snippets, or post timelapse videos. Use hashtags like #CookingForACause. Encourage supporters to vote on what you should cook next.

5. Parental/Teacher Letter Template

If you're under 18, this letter explains the challenge, food safety guidelines, and how teachers or parents can support you—such as by allowing participation during food tech classes or at home.

6. Silent Activities (Here: “What to Do During the Challenge”)

  • Try a themed cuisine night.
  • Cook with family
  • Decorate cookies or cupcakes
  • Meal prep for the week
  • Create a mini cooking vlog (optional)

7. Reflection Sheet

Reflect on what you learnt: Was cooking harder than expected? What did you learn about food prep, budgeting, or sharing meals with others? How did raising funds through your cooking feel?
