Think you've got what it takes? Join the Sit-Up/Squats Challenge and turn your fitness into fundraising. Whether it's 100 squats, 200 sit-ups, or a full week of workouts, every rep supports life-changing causes. Do it solo, with friends, or as a team!

 

Why Take the Challenge?

While you build strength, you're also strengthening communities. Funds raised go toward food packs, water wells, emergency aid, or orphan care. Physical action, spiritual reward, a challenge for the body and the soul.

 

How It Works
  1. Sign Up
    Click the "Register now" button to secure your spot in the challenge 

  2. Set Up Your Fundraiser
    Create an online fundraising page using LaunchGood. We'll guide you step-by-step.

  3. Go Silent!
    Pick a day and stay silent for 24 hours. No talking, no whispering, no voice notes – total silence!

  4. Share Your Journey
    Use social media to explain why you’re taking part – before and after the challenge. (We’ll give you all the content and templates you need.)

1. Challenge Brief & Rules

• This physical challenge is about committing to do a certain number of sit-ups, push-ups, or both each day for a set period (e.g. 7 days, 14 days, or a month) to raise awareness and funds.
• Choose your target: e.g., 100 push-ups a day for 7 days.
• Do them at your own pace but stay consistent! It’s about dedication and showing strength for a cause that matters to you.

2. Printable “I’m Doing Reps for a Cause” Poster

• This poster shows others you’re exercising for something bigger than fitness.
• It reads: “Every Rep Counts, supporting (your cause) through the #PushUpChallenge / #SitUpChallenge.”
• You can wear it at the gym, during PE, or post it on your wall at home.

3. Fundraising Tips

• Create a fundraising page with your chosen cause.
• Ask people to donate based on your reps. For example:

  • £0.10 per push-up
  • £1 for every 10 sit-ups
  • Flat donation for completing the full challenge
    • Share daily updates (even just a pic of the rep count) to keep donors engaged and inspired.
4. Social Media Guide

• Announce your challenge on Day 1: share your why, your rep goal, and your cause.
• Post short daily updates or progress reels.
• Use stories with countdowns or polls: “Guess how many I’ve done so far?”
• After your final day, share before/after photos, your totals, and a thank-you message.

5. Parental/Teacher Letter Template

• If under 18, get permission to do your challenge during school (e.g. during PE or breaks).
• This letter outlines your fitness goal, your charity, and how teachers or guardians can help support your effort.

6. Ideas to Keep It Fun

• Do your reps in different locations: park, beach, schoolyard, home.
• Challenge a friend or teacher to do a rep battle with you.
• Set fun milestones with prizes (e.g. after 500 reps, treat yourself to a smoothie!).
• Record a time-lapse of your workout journey

7. Reflection Sheet

• What did this challenge teach you about commitment and physical health?
• Were there moments you wanted to quit? What kept you going?
• How did you stay motivated?
• How did it feel to use your strength to support a cause?
