Torrential rains wreak havoc in Yemen

Yemen is facing yet another devastating humanitarian crisis. Torrential rains have caused widespread flooding across the country with Hudaydah, Hajjah, Taiz, Sa'ada and Marib being impacted most. Homes, crops, and vital infrastructure have been washed away. Thousands of families have been displaced, with little to no access to clean water, food, or medical care.

The floods have also triggered widespread power outages, road closures, and severe disruptions to essential services, including health.

Every moment counts

The risk of waterborne diseases is rising rapidly, and with the ongoing conflict and economic collapse, the Yemeni people are facing an unprecedented catastrophe.

The people of Yemen were already enduring unimaginable hardships due to years of conflict and economic instability. Now, the floods have pushed an already struggling population to the edge. Without immediate intervention, many more lives will be lost.
