Fundraising Assistant

Position: Fundraising Office Assistant

Start: November 14th March 2016
Finish: February 22nd August 2016

Role Overview:

Muslim Aid’s fundraising department is looking for a bright individual to support organise a fundraising banquette in aid of supporting our unrestricted campaign (URC). This will be a female only event and will be a great opportunity to work along side our vibrant staff during one of the busiest times of the year.

We can do this with the help an amazing team volunteers.

Responsible to Volunteer Administrative Assistant
Purpose/Summary of RoleEvents assistant
Description of tasksCalling Volunteers, distributers, schools, partner organisations.
Dealing with enquiries that come in via emails and post.
Writing letters/sending e-mails to potential partners
Coming up with innovative ideas to help aid the success of the event
Time Commitments 2-3 days a week (flexible)
Skills and Qualification

Experience in basic administration

Experience of working with a diverse range of people

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

Good numeracy skills 

Good planning and coordination skills.

Good ICT skills.

Attention to detail.

Being able to use your own initiative but be able to ask for help when you need

Training and SupportInduction to organisation
Training on specific aspects of the role
Regular updates on organisational activities
Support, advice and guidance, from Volunteers and Fundraising Department
Reimbursement of Expenses  Travel and lunch expenses covered
