It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that Muslim Aid has received the news of the death of Sheikh Abu Kizir Muhammad  Abdul Salam (1935-2022), who passed away on Friday 02 September 2022 – Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Rajioon. Sheikh Abu Kizir Muhammad Abdul Salam was a founding Trustee of Muslim Aid and served the charity as a member of the Board of Trustees for 31 years.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that Muslim Aid has received the news of the death of Sheikh Abu Kizir Muhammad Abdul Salam (1935-2022), who passed away on Friday 02 September 2022 – Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Rajioon. Sheikh Abu Kizir Muhammad Abdul Salam was a founding Trustee of Muslim Aid and served the charity as a member of the Board of Trustees for 31 years.

 

Muslim Aid’s current Chair, Mustafa Faruqi, said “We send our condolences to Shaikh Abu Kizir Muhammad Abdul Salam’s family and friends and we pray Allah grants him mercy and a lasting abode in Paradise.”

 

A distinguished scholar and activist, Sheikh Abu Kizir Muhammad Abdul Salam dedicated his life to serving Islam and humanity, he established many community, educational and religious institutions. The CEO of Muslim Aid Kashif Shabir said “As a founding Trustee of Muslim Aid, now in its 37th year, we are hopeful that  Sheikh Abu Kizir Muhammad Abdul Salam will receive the rewards of all the good work carried out by this organisation for over 3 decades. We pray Allah accepts this from him and our prayers and thoughts are with his family.”
